Mohamed Hamdoune: Moroccan defender joins Getafe CF B on free transfer

Moroccan centre-back Mohamed Hamdoune has joined Getafe CF B on a free transfer from Betis Deportivo. The 22-year-old left-footed defender has signed a deal with the Madrid club’s reserve side running until 30 June 2027.

Hamdoune switches across the Spanish lower divisions after a season with Betis Deportivo, where he featured in the Segunda Federacion Group IV. His move keeps him in the same tier of Spanish football, but in a different regional group, with Getafe CF B competing in Group V.

Standing at 1.90m, Hamdoune offers significant height at the heart of defence and already has solid experience at this level. Across recent campaigns in Spain’s lower leagues he has accumulated more than 40 league appearances, including regular minutes in both the Segunda Federacion and Primera Federacion, and has contributed a goal from centre-back.

The Casablanca-born defender first arrived in Spanish football with Antequera CF, having previously been with AM Football, and later had a spell without a club before signing for Real Balompedica Linense. He moved to Betis Deportivo on a free transfer in July 2025, again changing clubs at the end of his contract as he now does with Getafe CF B.

Hamdoune’s current market value is listed at €150,000, and he will now look to establish himself in Getafe’s B team structure over the course of his one-year deal. The transfer marks a permanent move, with no fee involved between Betis Deportivo and Getafe CF B.
