Mostafa El Ash completes permanent move as Al Masry sign defender from Al Ahly until 2030

Al Masry have confirmed the permanent signing of defender Mostafa El Ash from Al Ahly on a contract running until 2030.

Al Ahly had already agreed to sell the 26-year-old to the Port Said club, with the deal now finalised following his successful loan spell last season.

El Ash joined the “Green Eagles” in the second half of the previous campaign and went on to make 20 appearances, establishing himself as a regular in the side.

The defender played a role in Al Masry’s triumph in the Capital of Egypt Cup, helping the club lift the trophy after victory over ENPPI in the final.

Third summer signing for Al Masry

El Ash becomes Al Masry’s third acquisition of the current transfer window.

He follows the arrival of Yassin El Mallah from Pharco and Algerian midfielder Abdellah El Zayani from Difaa Hassani El Jadidi, as the Port Said outfit continue to reshape their squad.

Capable of operating both at centre-back and left-back, El Ash adds versatility to Al Masry’s defensive options.

Short spell at Al Ahly

The defender initially joined Al Ahly from ZED FC in January 2025 on a loan deal.

Al Ahly then activated the option to make the move permanent in the summer, securing his registration on a full-time basis before ultimately agreeing to his sale to Al Masry.

During his time with the Cairo giants, El Ash made 21 appearances in all competitions and registered a single assist.

He also won the Egyptian Premier League title with Al Ahly, adding a major domestic honour to his CV before moving on in search of more regular opportunities.

El Ash now commits his long-term future to Al Masry, where his performances during last season’s loan have earned him a permanent stay at the club.
