Abdel Zagre: Burkina Faso Forward at Ravenna Linked with Shock Reggina Move

Abdel Zagre, the Burkina Faso centre-forward currently at Ravenna, has been linked with a surprise move to Reggina as the Serie D side explore attacking options ahead of the new campaign.

The 22-year-old, who plays through the middle and stands at 1.87m, is under contract with Ravenna until 30 June 2027, meaning any deal would require Reggina to negotiate a transfer fee rather than a free move. Zagre’s current estimated value is around €100,000, a figure likely to form the starting point of any talks between the clubs.

Zagre joined Ravenna in January 2025 and has since established himself in the attack for the Serie C side. His profile has grown over the past two seasons, helped by his role in Ravenna’s Coppa Italia Serie D triumph in the 2024–25 campaign, an achievement that underlined his impact in the Italian lower leagues.

Born in Bobo-Dioulasso on 9 March 2004, Zagre represents Burkina Faso and is a right-footed striker whose performances in Italy have attracted increasing domestic attention. Before his move to Ravenna, he had already tasted success in Switzerland, winning the second-tier title with FC Sion in 2023–24, further enhancing his reputation as a forward capable of contributing to promotion-chasing sides.

For now, Zagre remains a Ravenna player with a year still to run before his contract reaches its final season, leaving the Serie C club in a strong position should Reggina decide to formalise their interest.
