Moise Adilehou: Benin defender leaves Stade Lavallois to become free agent

Benin centre-back Moise Adilehou has left French side Stade Lavallois and is now a free agent after his contract with the Ligue 2 club came to an end.

The 30-year-old, who was born in Colombes and holds both Beninese and French nationality, departs Laval on the back of a spell that began when he joined them on a free transfer in July 2024. His latest move, dated 29 July 2026, leaves him without a club as he considers the next step in a career that has taken him across several European leagues.

Adilehou, a right-footed defender standing at 1.90m, has accumulated significant experience in a variety of competitions, including Ligue 2 in France, the Dutch second tier, Greece’s Super League, the Azerbaijani Premyer Liqa and Israel’s top flight. Across those leagues and associated cup competitions, he has passed the 150-appearance mark, chipping in with a handful of goals from the back.

Before arriving at Laval, Adilehou spent the 2023-24 season with Maccabi Petah Tikva in Israel, having joined them on a free from Azerbaijani side Zira FC. His time in Israel brought tangible success as he helped Maccabi Petah Tikva win the national cup in the 2023-24 campaign.

Earlier in his career, the defender had stops at NAC Breda in the Netherlands, Boluspor in Turkey, Levadiakos and AOK Kerkyra in Greece, as well as Slovan Bratislava and several French lower-league clubs, building a resume that combines domestic leagues, cup competitions and promotion play-offs.

Adilehou’s departure from Stade Lavallois, with his market value listed at around €100,000, confirms his latest status as a free agent available for a new club.
