Moïne Chaâbani appointed new Tunisia head coach after historic RS Berkane success

Tunisia have appointed Moïne Chaâbani as the new head coach of the national team, with the former RS Berkane tactician taking charge of the Carthage Eagles following an impressive spell in Morocco.

The appointment, revealed on July 14, marks a new chapter for the Tunisian national side as they turn to Chaâbani’s experience and recent achievements to lead the team into their next phase of development.

Chaâbani arrives at the Tunisia job after a highly successful period with RS Berkane, where he established himself as one of the continent’s most respected coaches. Under his guidance, the Moroccan club enjoyed historic domestic and continental triumphs, cementing their status as one of Africa’s top-performing teams.

His success at Berkane, built on tactical organisation, defensive solidity and effective squad management, played a key role in earning him the opportunity to lead his country’s senior national team.

The former Espérance Sportive de Tunis coach now returns to the national stage with the responsibility of guiding Tunisia’s golden generation and maintaining the country’s strong reputation in African football.

Chaâbani’s immediate task will be to build a competitive squad capable of challenging for major honours while implementing his football philosophy at international level.

The Carthage Eagles have consistently been among Africa’s most successful national teams, and expectations will be high as Chaâbani begins his tenure with the ambition of restoring Tunisia to the top of the continent.

With a proven record of delivering trophies at club level, the Tunisian coach will hope to replicate that success on the international stage and lead the national team into another era of achievement.
