Guy Kossi Akpovy has been unanimously re-elected to serve a new four-year mandate as the head of the Togolese Football Federation (FTF). The election took place on Saturday, February 3, 2024, in Lomé, where Akpovy, who has held the position for over eight years, was reaffirmed as president until 2028.

The re-election of Guy Kossi Akpovy occurred through acclamation, underscoring the widespread support and trust he commands within the Togolese football community.

With a legacy that spans more than eight years of dedicated service, Akpovy’s continued leadership aims to guide the FTF towards further accomplishments and growth in the realm of football administration.

The executive board for the upcoming term will consist of 12 members, with two vice-presidents included.

Notable additions to the leadership team include Targuedjaen Bamok and Elom Aziadekey, injecting new perspectives and expertise into the FTF’s governance structure.

The rest of the executive members, including Aklisso Amah and Agoro Medjessibiri as first and second vice-presidents, respectively, represent a blend of continuity and fresh faces.

Expressing his pride and well wishes for the Togolese football community, Mathurin de Chacus, the president of the Beninese Football Federation and a guest of honor at the event, remarked, “May this day bring happiness and joy to the Togolese people through victories and qualifications for the next competitions.”

Following the re-election, Guy Kossi Akpovy conveyed his gratitude to everyone present at the momentous occasion.

A press conference is scheduled to take place immediately at the 2 Février hotel in Lomé, where the president is expected to address the media and outline the vision for the upcoming term under his leadership.
