Burkina Faso defender Mamoutou Ouédraogo joins FC Sheriff Tiraspol in first overseas move

Burkina Faso U20 international Mamoutou Ouédraogo has completed a move to FC Sheriff Tiraspol after leaving Rahimo FC to begin the first international chapter of his young career.

The 19-year-old right-back has officially signed for the Moldovan club, who compete in the Super Liga, the country’s top division.

The transfer represents a major opportunity for Ouédraogo, who will now continue his development in a more competitive European environment after impressing in Burkina Faso’s domestic league.

Ouédraogo developed his reputation at Rahimo FC, a club competing in Fasofoot Ligue 1, where his performances earned him recognition at both club and international level with Burkina Faso’s under-20 national team.

Following the completion of his move, the defender expressed his excitement about joining Sheriff Tiraspol and thanked the club’s staff for their confidence in him.
