Philippe Ndinga: Congo-Gabon left-back at Philadelphia linked with Zulte Waregem move
Philippe Ndinga, the Congo-Gabon defender currently at MLS side Philadelphia, is being linked with a move to Belgian top-flight club Zulte Waregem.
The 21-year-old left-back, who can operate on the left side of defence despite being right-footed, is under contract with Philadelphia until 30 June 2029 but has emerged as a potential target for the Jupiler Pro League outfit. Zulte Waregem are understood to be exploring options at full-back and have identified Ndinga as a candidate as they look to strengthen their defensive options.
Ndinga joined Philadelphia on 27 February 2026 and has been gradually integrated into the first-team squad. In the 2026 Major League Soccer campaign he has featured in six of the club’s 16 league fixtures so far, while also earning minutes in the CONCACAF Champions Cup. His current market value stands at around €1.2 million, a figure that is likely to form a reference point in any discussions over a potential deal.
Born in Libreville on 3 June 2005 and standing at 1.84m, Ndinga holds both Congo and Gabon nationality. His combination of youth and professional experience in North America has attracted attention from Europe despite his limited game time in MLS to date.
Philadelphia secured Ndinga on a long-term agreement earlier this year, meaning any transfer to Zulte Waregem would require negotiation over a fee rather than a free move, with the defender tied to the club for another three years beyond the current season.
