Arnold Vula: DR Congo striker at Beerschot linked with KAA Gent move amid Pro League interest
DR Congo centre-forward Arnold Vula of Beerschot VA is attracting interest from Belgian top-flight side KAA Gent, with the Jupiler Pro League club weighing up a move for the 27-year-old.
Vula, who joined Beerschot from French side Le Mans FC on a free transfer in July 2025, has impressed in the Challenger Pro League and is seen as a potential attacking reinforcement as Gent look to strengthen their forward options. He is under contract at Beerschot until 30 June 2027, meaning any deal would require the Belgian second-tier club to be persuaded to sell.
The Kinshasa-born striker has been a consistent goalscorer since arriving in Europe, notably hitting 12 goals and six assists in 26 Challenger Pro League appearances, form that has helped elevate his estimated value to around €600,000. Before moving to Belgium, he built his reputation in France’s lower divisions with prolific spells, including 21 goals in 24 league matches for Le Mans in National 1 Group A.
Vula, who stands at 1.88m and plays primarily as a central striker off his right foot, has also shown an eye for goal in cup competitions, scoring eight times in nine Coupe de France outings earlier in his career. His recent involvement for Beerschot has extended into the Croky Cup and promotion play-offs, underlining his status as a regular in the Belgian club’s attack.
With a year gone on his two-year deal and Beerschot still holding a strong contractual position, Gent are expected to face firm negotiations if they decide to turn their interest into a formal offer.
