Famara Camara: Nashville sign Senegal midfielder from Ranheim

Nashville have signed Senegal defensive midfielder Famara Camara from Norwegian side Ranheim. The 21-year-old leaves the OBOS-ligaen club to move to Major League Soccer in a completed transfer dated 27 July 2026.

Camara, who plays primarily in front of the back four, swaps Norway’s second tier for the United States after developing his game with Ranheim. His move brings him into MLS at an age where he already has first-team experience in European football while still early in his career.

Ranheim, competing in Norway’s OBOS-ligaen, provided Camara with a platform to establish himself in senior football. His performances there have been reflected in a market valuation of around €700,000, underlining the regard in which he is held as he arrives in Nashville’s squad.

Nashville’s acquisition of Camara adds a new option in the holding midfield role, with the Senegalese player expected to operate in his natural defensive midfield position as he adapts to a new league and environment. The timing of the transfer gives the MLS side the opportunity to integrate him during the 2026 campaign.

Camara’s switch from Ranheim to Nashville is a confirmed move, placing the Senegal midfielder under contract with the MLS club from 27 July 2026.
