Matthias Jaissle’s uncertain future at Al Ahli is set to move towards a decisive conclusion in the coming days, with the Saudi club planning key talks with the German coach once the team return from their pre-season training camp in Portugal.

That planned meeting is being seen inside the club as a fresh opportunity to revive negotiations and search for a compromise that satisfies both sides, offering what has been described as a new glimmer of hope that an agreement can still be reached.

For Al Ahli, securing Jaissle’s stay is viewed as a priority. The German has been credited with leading the team back to continental success, returning the club to the podium at Asian level. The administration believes continuity on the touchline would give them vital technical stability heading into the new season.

Jaissle, meanwhile, is seeking a contract that provides long-term security and clear backing for the wider sporting project, without restrictive clauses that could limit his options or jeopardise his future.
