Mohamed Chelly: Tunisian midfielder joins Stade Gabesien on free transfer from AS Kasserine

Tunisian midfielder Mohamed Chelly has joined Stade Gabesien on a free transfer from AS Kasserine. The 25-year-old has signed a contract with the Gabes-based club running until 30 June 2028.

Chelly, who operates in midfield and prefers his right foot, makes the move within Tunisia after leaving AS Kasserine at the end of his spell there. Standing at 1.80m, he arrives at Stade Gabesien in what is a long-term commitment for both player and club.

Born on 4 May 2001, Chelly will now look to establish himself at his new side following confirmation of the deal on 27 July 2026. His switch bolsters Stade Gabesien’s midfield options ahead of the coming campaigns, with the four-year agreement underlining their faith in him as part of their medium-term plans.

The transfer sees Chelly remain in domestic football while taking on a new challenge in Gabes. The length of the contract gives Stade Gabesien continuity in the centre of the pitch and provides the Tunisian with stability at club level.

Chelly’s move from AS Kasserine to Stade Gabesien is confirmed as a permanent free transfer, with his new deal in place until the summer of 2028.
