Daniel Arcilesi: Italy-Ghana midfielder joins Chersonissos on free transfer from Almyros Gaziou
Italy-Ghana midfielder Daniel Arcilesi has joined Greek side Chersonissos on a free transfer from Almyros Gaziou. The 30-year-old central midfielder has signed a contract running until 30 June 2027 after completing his move on 25 July 2026.
Arcilesi, born in Palermo and standing at 1.78m, operates primarily in central midfield and is left-footed. His arrival gives Chersonissos an experienced option in the middle of the pitch as they shape their squad for the coming campaign.
The move keeps Arcilesi in Greek football following his spell with Almyros Gaziou, where he had been part of the club’s senior set-up before his deal expired. The free transfer allows Chersonissos to strengthen their core without paying a fee, while offering the player long-term security with a one-year contract covering the 2026-27 season.
Arcilesi, who holds both Italian and Ghanaian nationality, adds an international dimension to Chersonissos’ midfield group. His background in Italian football and subsequent experience in Greece provide a blend of tactical schooling and familiarity with the local game.
Chersonissos have confirmed that Arcilesi is now registered with the club and tied down until the end of June 2027.
