Victor Omune: Kenya midfielder leaves AFC Leopards and becomes free agent
Kenya midfielder Victor Omune has left AFC Leopards and become a free agent after his departure from the club was finalised on 26 July 2026.
The 33-year-old central midfielder, born on 14 February 1993, now officially holds the status of being without a club following the end of his spell with the Kenyan side. His registration change was completed this week, confirming his exit from Leopards and opening the way for him to negotiate with interested teams as a free agent.
Omune, whose preferred role is in central midfield, had been on the books at AFC Leopards in his homeland before the split was confirmed. His departure brings to a close his most recent chapter in Kenyan football, with the experienced midfielder now available on the market outside of any transfer window restrictions that apply to contracted players.
The Kenyan player’s move into free agency comes at a stage of his career where his age and experience in the midfield role could still appeal to clubs seeking an immediate, low-risk addition to their squad structure. His status as unattached means any new club will be able to sign him without the need to agree a transfer fee.
Omune’s registration now lists him as without a club, confirming his exit from AFC Leopards and leaving him free to decide the next step in his career.
