Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan: Reading’s Anglo-Nigerian winger linked with AC Horsens move

Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan, the England- and Nigeria-eligible forward currently at Reading, is being linked with a move to Danish side AC Horsens as the League One club face interest in one of their attacking options.

The 23-year-old left winger, who can operate off the flank despite being right-footed, is under contract at Reading until 30 June 2027, meaning any deal would require the Superliga club to negotiate a fee rather than pursue a free transfer. His current market valuation is around €450,000, a figure that provides a rough benchmark for discussions but does not necessarily reflect Reading’s internal valuation of a player who wears the number 9 shirt.

Born in Benin City on 23 April 2003 and standing at 1.91m, Ehibhatiomhan offers a physically imposing presence in the final third, a profile that could appeal in Denmark’s top flight. He joined Reading’s senior set-up permanently on 1 July 2023 and has since been part of their efforts to re-establish themselves higher up the English pyramid following recent turbulence on and off the pitch.

For Reading, any potential departure would need to be balanced against the continuity and squad depth required for a League One campaign, especially given Ehibhatiomhan’s age and contractual security. AC Horsens, for their part, are exploring options to add attacking height and versatility as they look to strengthen in the Superliga.
