Yannick Mausehund: German-Cameroonian 1.FC Koln II Defender Linked with Alemannia Aachen Move

German-Cameroonian centre-back Yannick Mausehund of 1.FC Koln II is being linked with a move to 3. Liga side Alemannia Aachen as the third tier club explore defensive reinforcements ahead of the new campaign.

The 20-year-old currently plays in the Regionalliga West with Koln’s second team but has emerged as a potential target for Aachen, who are looking higher up the German football pyramid than usual for options at the back. The interest is at an early stage, with the chances of a deal currently assessed at 19%, indicating that talks, if they have taken place, are at a preliminary rather than advanced phase.

Mausehund, a central defender eligible for both Germany and Cameroon, is under contract at Koln II until 30 June 2027. That long-term agreement means any transfer this summer would require Aachen to negotiate a fee rather than pursue a cut‐price or pre-contract route. He is currently valued at around €100,000, a figure that would place him firmly in the affordable bracket for an ambitious 3. Liga club aiming to add depth while managing resources carefully.

Koln II’s involvement in the Regionalliga West has given Mausehund exposure to competitive senior football at a young age, and a switch to Aachen would represent a step up to the national third tier.
