Ibrahim Mbaye: Liverpool linked with move for PSG and Senegal winger

Liverpool have been linked with a move for Senegal and France youth international Ibrahim Mbaye, the 18-year-old right winger currently at Paris Saint-Germain. The Premier League club are monitoring Mbaye’s situation at PSG, where he is under contract until 30 June 2028 and currently valued at around €30m.

Mbaye has broken into the first-team picture at PSG after progressing through the club’s academy, having stepped up from the U23s to the senior squad ahead of the 2025-26 season. He has already gained experience on the biggest stage, featuring at the 2026 World Cup with Senegal, where he made four appearances and scored once.

The teenager was part of the PSG side that won the 2025-26 UEFA Champions League, adding to a growing list of honours that also includes back-to-back French league titles. His development has been closely tied to the club, joining PSG’s youth ranks from Versailles in 2018 and advancing through the age groups before earning a senior promotion.

Liverpool’s interest comes at a time when Mbaye is still in the early years of his first long-term professional deal at the Parc des Princes, giving PSG a strong negotiating position. With his contract running for another two years beyond the current season, any move is likely to depend on the French champions’ willingness to cash in on one of their latest academy graduates.
