Edgar Pacheco: Portugal-Angola winger joins Atletico CP on free transfer from Differdange 03
Portugal-Angola winger Edgar Pacheco has joined Atletico CP on a free transfer from Luxembourg side Differdange 03. The 26-year-old left winger has signed a deal with the Lisbon club running until 30 June 2027.
Pacheco, who was born in Seixal and stands at 1.76m, arrives with experience in both Portuguese and European football and is valued at around €100,000. His move strengthens Atletico CP’s attacking options on the left flank, where he is expected to operate as a right-footed wide player cutting in from the wing.
The switch brings to an end his spell at Differdange 03, whom he joined in July 2025 after a brief period without a club. During his time in Luxembourg he was part of the squad that lifted the national cup in the 2025-26 season, adding silverware to his CV before returning to Portuguese football.
Before moving abroad, Pacheco played for B SAD and then Bulgarian club Cherno More Varna, initially joining the latter on a free transfer in February 2023. His stint in Bulgaria included a Bulgarian league runners-up finish in 2024, underlining his exposure to different European leagues and competitions.
The winger came through the youth systems at Real SC, Belenenses and Alverca before progressing into senior football with B SAD’s under-23 and first-team setups. Now back in his home country, Pacheco’s contract at Atletico CP runs for one season, with the deal confirmed following his free transfer from Differdange 03 on 24 July 2026.
