Daniel Johannes Mgore: Dodoma Jiji FC and Tanzania goalkeeper linked with TRA United move
Dodoma Jiji FC goalkeeper Daniel Johannes Mgore of Tanzania is being linked with a move to fellow Tanzanian side TRA United, with the 23-year-old reportedly emerging as a target ahead of the coming campaign.
TRA United are understood to be exploring the possibility of strengthening their options in goal and have identified Mgore, who has been with Dodoma Jiji since 2022, as a candidate. Discussions are at an early stage and no agreement is in place, but the interest is viewed as serious as TRA United assess potential recruits.
Mgore joined Dodoma Jiji from Biashara United in July 2022 and has spent the past seasons establishing himself at the club. His development since leaving Biashara United has drawn attention from within the domestic game, and TRA United’s move reflects a desire to add a goalkeeper with experience of Tanzanian top-flight conditions.
Any transfer would mark the next step in the career of a player who turned 23 in December and is entering what many clubs regard as a key phase for long-term planning in the position. With his contractual situation at Dodoma Jiji not publicly detailed, it remains unclear whether TRA United would need to negotiate a fee or structure a different type of deal to secure his services.
For now, Mgore remains a Dodoma Jiji player, and TRA United must decide whether to convert their interest into a formal approach in the coming weeks.
