Konstantinos Venizelou: Cyprus-DR Congo defender joins Krasava ENY on free transfer from PAEEK Kyrenia
Cyprus-DR Congo centre-back Konstantinos Venizelou has joined Krasava ENY on a free transfer from PAEEK Kyrenia. The 22-year-old defender has signed a deal running until 31 May 2027 with the Cyprus League club.
Venizelou, born in Nicosia and standing at 1.86m, moves after a season in the Cypriot 2. Division, where he featured for PAEEK. Krasava ENY step up from the second tier to secure his services as they strengthen their defensive options with a left-footed central defender.
The move continues a busy period in Venizelou’s early career. He arrived at PAEEK in September 2025, also on a free transfer, after time with Ethnikos. During his spell with Ethnikos he had a loan stint at Kazakhstan club Zhenis, gaining further senior experience in the Premier Liga and Kazakhstan Cup before returning to Cyprus.
Venizelou previously came through the system at Omonia Nicosia, where he was part of squads that lifted the Cypriot league title in 2020-21 and the Cypriot Cup in 2022-23. His development included a spell in Italy with Pescara’s under-19s before he rejoined Omonia’s first team in 2021.
Across league and cup competitions, he has already collected appearances in the Cypriot top flight, the 2. Division, Kazakhstan’s top division and the UEFA Youth League, underlining his exposure to different styles of football at a young age.
Venizelou, whose current market value is listed at €100,000, will now begin a new chapter in the Cyprus League after completing his free transfer to Krasava ENY.
