Youcef Belaïli Set to Extend Stay at Espérance

Algerian champions MC Alger have confirmed that they have reached a full agreement with Algerian international Youcef Belaïli over a return to the club for the 2026/27 season.

In a statement released by the club, MC Alger announced that all contractual terms have been agreed with the experienced forward, paving the way for his return as they strengthen their squad ahead of the new campaign.

However, the club stressed that the transfer remains subject to two key conditions before it can be officially completed. The first is the final ruling from the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) regarding Belaïli’s FIFA suspension, while the second is the successful completion of his medical examination.

The announcement signals MC Alger’s determination to reinforce their squad with one of Algeria’s most talented and experienced attacking players. Belaïli’s creativity, technical ability and experience at both club and international level are expected to provide a significant boost should the transfer receive the necessary approvals.

While personal terms have already been settled, the club will now await CAS’s decision before proceeding with the formal registration of the player. A favorable verdict, coupled with a successful medical assessment, would clear the way for Belaïli to officially rejoin the Algerian giants.

The potential return would mark another chapter in Belaïli’s career with MC Alger, as the club prepares for the 2026/27 season with ambitions of competing strongly in domestic competitions and on the continental stage.

For now, supporters will have to wait for the outcome of the CAS ruling before the club can formally unveil the Algerian international as its newest signing.
