Colin Dagba: Former PSG defender linked with US Boulogne return from free agency

France-Benin right-back Colin Dagba, currently without a club after leaving Belgian side Beerschot VA, is being linked with a move to French outfit US Boulogne in Ligue 2.

The 27-year-old, who began his professional pathway at Boulogne’s youth set-up before joining Paris Saint-Germain as a teenager, is understood to be on the radar of the northern club as they look to add experience on the right side of their defence. Dagba is a free agent following the expiry of his spell at Beerschot earlier this summer, a situation that would allow Boulogne to negotiate a deal without a transfer fee.

Dagba’s current market valuation stands at around €500,000, a significant drop from the €18m mark he reached at his peak during his time with PSG. He made 76 Ligue 1 appearances for the Paris club, scoring once and providing three assists, and also featured seven times in the UEFA Champions League.

The full-back enjoyed a trophy-laden spell in the capital, winning three French league titles and lifting the Coupe de France twice with PSG, before loan stints at Strasbourg and AJ Auxerre. He helped Auxerre secure promotion as Ligue 2 champions in 2023-24, adding second-tier silverware to his honours.

Dagba joined Beerschot on a free transfer in September 2024 and went on to make 19 league appearances in Belgium’s second tier, contributing four assists. Following his departure at the start of July 2026, he is assessing options for the next stage of his career, with a potential return to Boulogne now among the possibilities under consideration.
