Joseph Nonge future in doubt as Belgian midfielder linked with Kocaelispor exit

Belgian-DR Congo midfielder Joseph Nonge is being linked with a move away from Kocaelispor, with the 21-year-old reportedly attracting interest that could see him leave the Turkish Super Lig club despite being under contract until 30 June 2028.

Nonge only arrived at Kocaelispor last summer, joining on a free transfer from Juve Next Gen on 5 July 2025, and is currently valued at around €2 million. His situation is being monitored amid suggestions he could become available, with a parting of ways not ruled out even though he remains tied to a long-term deal.

The left-footed central midfielder has featured regularly in senior football across several leagues, including the Super Lig and Serie A, as well as in domestic cups, building a reputation through steady top-flight exposure rather than eye-catching attacking numbers. Before his move to Turkey, he gained experience on loan at Troyes and Servette, adding Ligue 2 and Swiss Super League minutes to his development.

Born in Jette on 15 May 2005 and standing at 1.84m, Nonge came through the Anderlecht system before moving to Italy as a teenager, progressing via Juventus’ youth ranks. He was part of a Juventus squad that lifted the Italian Cup in 2023-24, a notable early honour on his CV.

For now, Kocaelispor retain control of the midfielder’s future, with any departure likely to require negotiation rather than a straightforward free transfer, but growing uncertainty over his role is fuelling speculation that his stay in Izmit may prove short-lived.
