Olawale Tanimowo: English-Nigerian winger joins Asia Talas on free transfer from OshMU

Asia Talas have added English-Nigerian left winger Olawale Tanimowo to their squad after the 29-year-old completed a free transfer from Jogorku Liga rivals OshMU. The attacker has signed a deal running until 31 December 2026 with the Kyrgyz club.

Tanimowo, born in London and comfortable cutting in from the left onto his right foot, moves after impressing in Kyrgyzstan’s top flight this year. He arrives with a market value of €175,000, strengthening an Asia Talas side competing in the same division as his former employers.

The winger only joined OshMU in February 2026, also on a free transfer, but quickly established himself as a key contributor. Across league and cup action in the current campaign, he has made 16 appearances, scoring six goals and providing seven assists, underlining his influence in the final third.

In the Jogorku Liga this season, Tanimowo has featured in 14 of a possible 16 matches, starting the vast majority of them. He has found the net five times and set up six more, being directly involved in almost half of his team’s league goals during that spell. In the Kyrgyzstan Cup, he has added a goal and an assist from two outings.

Before his move to Kyrgyzstan, Tanimowo had spells with Estonian side JK Tammeka and earlier with Bolton’s under-23s and Norwegian club Flor SK. His switch to Asia Talas marks the latest step in a career that has taken him across several European leagues.

Tanimowo’s free transfer from OshMU to Asia Talas is effective from 25 July 2026 and covers the remainder of the calendar year.
