Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal have been handed renewed hope in the race to sign RB Leipzig sensation Yan Diomande after Paris Saint-Germain’s pursuit of the teenager slowed amid stalled negotiations.

PSG remain the frontrunners to land the highly rated 19-year-old, but their failure to submit an official bid has created an opportunity for Premier League clubs to revive their interest before the transfer window closes.

The English trio have all recently been informed of Diomande’s availability as uncertainty continues to surround the Ligue 1 champions’ negotiations with Leipzig. Diomande is expected to report back to RB Leipzig next week, but speculation over his future has intensified after he removed references to the Bundesliga club from his Instagram profile, reinforcing expectations that he is preparing for a summer exit.

Leipzig remain in a commanding position during negotiations and are demanding at least €120 million before considering a sale. The German side are also understood to welcome competition for the winger’s signature, believing a bidding war could drive his transfer fee even higher.

Despite agreeing personal terms with PSG on a contract running until 2031 and making the French champions his preferred destination, Diomande’s move remains incomplete because talks between the two clubs have yet to produce an agreement.

With the new season drawing closer, pressure is mounting on PSG to accelerate negotiations or risk seeing another European heavyweight intervene.

Leipzig would still be prepared to offer the youngster a contract extension beyond his current deal, which expires in 2030, if he agreed to remain for at least another campaign. However, that outcome is viewed as increasingly unlikely given the player’s determination to leave this summer.
