Simba SC complete signing of Malian striker Ibrahim Doumbia on one-year deal

Tanzanian giants Simba SC have strengthened their attacking options with the signing of Malian forward Ibrahim Doumbia on a one-year contract, with an option to extend the agreement for an additional two seasons.

Doumbia joins the club after an impressive campaign with AS Kôrôfina, where he emerged as one of the standout attacking players last season. The striker found the back of the net 21 times across all competitions, attracting interest with his consistent goal-scoring performances.

Simba SC are expected to integrate the Mali international into their squad ahead of their participation in the CECAFA Kagame Cup, with Doumbia set to link up with his new teammates in Rwanda as the club continues preparations for the regional tournament.

The arrival of Doumbia is part of Simba’s efforts to reinforce their squad ahead of the new season, as the club looks to compete on multiple fronts domestically and across regional competitions.

Known for his attacking instincts and ability to deliver goals, Doumbia will be tasked with providing an additional threat in Simba’s frontline as the club targets success in the upcoming campaign. His performances at AS Kôrôfina have raised expectations among Simba supporters, who will be hoping the Malian forward can replicate his scoring form in Tanzanian football.
