Mohamed Bylel Zeggai: Algerian-French midfielder joins Nesebar on free transfer
Algerian-French midfielder Mohamed Bylel Zeggai has joined Bulgarian side Nesebar on a free transfer from French club Plabennec. The 22-year-old defensive midfielder moves to the Vtora Liga outfit after leaving the National 2 side at the end of last season.
Zeggai, born on 27 July 2003, arrives in Bulgaria after a solid campaign in France’s fourth tier, where he made 22 league appearances for Plabennec, scoring once and providing one assist. He previously joined Plabennec from Landerneau, also on a free transfer, in the summer of 2024.
Before his time at Plabennec and Landerneau, Zeggai developed in the French system with Toulouse U19, Montfermeil U19 and FC Bobigny’s B team, building his experience in youth and reserve competitions. His senior minutes have included league, youth and domestic cup action, with over 1,600 minutes played in National 2 last season.
Capable of operating at the base of midfield, Zeggai will now take his first step into Bulgarian football as Nesebar look to strengthen their squad for the Vtora Liga campaign. The move marks his first club outside France and continues a sequence of free transfers that have shaped his early career.
The transfer, completed on 24 July 2026, sees Zeggai officially registered as a Nesebar player following his free move from Plabennec.
