Adil Rami is reportedly feeling increasingly unwanted at Valencia due to his audacious questioning of the coach. In response to his situation, the French defender is considering a move, and AC Milan emerges as a potential destination.
AC Milan has shown a keen interest in Adil Rami, who is currently sidelined at Valencia, according to reports from Cadena Ser in Spain. Sky Italia suggests that Rami might even travel to Milan on Friday to discuss a potential loan deal with an option to buy. However, negotiations may revolve around the purchase option’s compensation, with Valencia initially setting it at 7 million euros, while Milan aims to reduce it to 5 million. If an agreement is reached, Rami, whom Valencia seeks to sell, could only join Milan in January. In the meantime, he is expected to train with the Lombard group.
Rami’s audacious remarks about Valencia’s coach have seemingly contributed to his current situation. Since his arrival from Lille in 2011, Rami, a French international and part of a Ligue 1-Coupe de France double-winning team, might soon find himself alongside compatriot Philippe Mexès at AC Milan. Despite having ambitions to play in England earlier this summer, the departure of Roberto Soldado to Tottenham altered his plans. Frustrated with the club’s direction, Rami publicly expressed his discontent on Cadena Ser in September, criticizing the coach Djukic and expressing his dissatisfaction with the team’s dynamics after losing key players. As a consequence, Rami was dismissed from the team for a week and faced suspension from both pay and training.
