Muiz Olawale: Nigerian midfielder joins Al-Dhaid from Dubai City FC

Nigerian midfielder Muiz Olawale has joined United Arab Emirates side Al-Dhaid from Dubai City FC in a completed transfer. The 24-year-old central midfielder makes the move within the Emirati football pyramid as Al-Dhaid reshape their squad for the new campaign.

Born in Lagos and standing at 1.73m, Olawale operates primarily as a central midfielder and is right-footed. He has already had a taste of competitive action in the country, featuring in the UAE President’s Cup, where he made two appearances and accumulated just over 100 minutes on the pitch.

Olawale leaves Dubai City FC to link up with Al-Dhaid after establishing himself in the region’s game, using his experience in domestic cup competition as a platform for this latest step. His switch was finalised on 24 July 2026, aligning with Al-Dhaid’s efforts to strengthen the core of their midfield options.

The move also offers the Lagos-born player a stable environment to build on his previous performances, having already adapted to the demands of football in the UAE. His familiarity with local opponents and conditions is expected to ease his integration into the Al-Dhaid squad.

Olawale’s transfer to Al-Dhaid is now complete, with the Nigerian set to continue his career in central midfield for the Emirati club.
