Rachid Sande Barro: Burkina Faso left-back joins STK Samorin on loan from Dunajska Streda
Burkina Faso defender Rachid Sande Barro has joined Slovak second-tier side STK Samorin on loan from Dunajska Streda. The 19-year-old left-back moves within Slovakia’s league structure, swapping the Nike Liga for the II. Liga in a bid for more first-team football.
Barro, who is valued at around €50,000, makes the switch after being on the books at Dunajska Streda, one of the leading clubs in the Slovak top flight. The deal is a straight loan transfer, with the teenager now set to continue his development in Samorin’s colours for the upcoming campaign.
The move keeps Barro in familiar surroundings, with both clubs based in Slovakia but competing at different levels. Dunajska Streda play in the top-tier Nike Liga, while STK Samorin operate in the II. Liga, offering the Burkina Faso youngster the chance to gain regular senior minutes against competitive opposition.
Capable of operating on the left side of defence, Barro strengthens a Samorin back line that will look to improve its standing in the second division. His arrival also allows Dunajska Streda to monitor his progress at a competitive level without losing him permanently.
Barro’s loan from Dunajska Streda to STK Samorin has been completed ahead of the new II. Liga season.
