Ahmed Amri: Tunisia forward joins Al-Nasiriyah FC on free transfer from CA Bizertin
Tunisia striker Ahmed Amri has joined Iraqi side Al-Nasiriyah FC on a free transfer from CA Bizertin.
The 26-year-old centre-forward makes the move from the Tunisian Ligue 1 to Iraq, ending his spell with Bizertin to continue his career in the Iraqi game. The deal sees Al-Nasiriyah bring in a player with top-flight North African experience without paying a transfer fee.
Amri had been on the books at CA Bizertin, one of Tunisia’s established Ligue 1 clubs, where he developed his reputation as a central attacking option. His switch marks a change of scene both competitively and culturally, with the forward leaving familiar domestic surroundings for a new challenge in Asian football.
Al-Nasiriyah, who compete in the Iraqi pyramid, have moved to strengthen their attacking department with a player operating primarily through the middle. At 26, Amri arrives in what is traditionally considered a forward’s prime years, offering the Iraqi side an immediate option at the top end of the pitch.
The transfer was completed on 24 July 2026 and confirms Amri’s permanent move from CA Bizertin to Al-Nasiriyah FC on a free transfer.
