Prince Manu Balladom: Ghanaian striker joins Ujpest FC from Benab FC

Ghanaian centre-forward Prince Manu Balladom has joined Hungarian top-flight side Ujpest FC from Benab FC. The 19-year-old moves to the NB I. club as a centre-forward option after catching the eye with his recent form in youth and senior football.

Balladom, born in Sunyani in April 2007, arrives in Budapest having most recently been on the books of Ghanaian outfit Benab FC. His switch to Ujpest FC was completed on 23 July 2026, securing his first move into a European top division.

The right-footed striker previously spent time on loan at Turkish side Goztepe U19 from Benab FC during the 2025-26 campaign, gaining experience in a structured youth environment. During that spell he impressed in front of goal, scoring 11 times and providing three assists in 29 appearances in the U19 Super Lig, and adding a further two goals and three assists in three matches in the TFF Youth League Playoff.

Standing at 1.94m, Balladom offers a physical presence through the middle and is set to operate in his natural position as a central attacker for Ujpest. His scoring record at youth level, with a goal roughly every two-and-a-half games in Turkey, provides a statistical snapshot of his form ahead of his step into Hungarian football.

Balladom’s transfer from Benab FC to Ujpest FC is confirmed for the 2026-27 season, with the Ghanaian joining the NB I. club as a centre-forward recruit.
