Adeyemi sets sights on all trophies after joining Barcelona

New Barcelona signing Karim Adeyemi has insisted that winning the UEFA Champions League is not his only ambition at the Spanish giants, with the Germany international determined to help the club compete for every available trophy.

The 24-year-old winger made the comments during his official unveiling after completing his move to the Catalan club, where he also pledged to justify the faith shown in him by head coach Hansi Flick.

Ready to repay Flick’s confidence

Adeyemi expressed his excitement at joining what he described as the world’s biggest club and said he is eager to prove himself to both the coaching staff and supporters.

“Expectations are high, I am coming to the best club in the world, and I hope to prove to the coach and the fans that I am a player worthy of Barcelona.”

The German international also thanked Flick for giving him the opportunity to begin a new chapter in his career and said he is confident he can quickly build an understanding with teenage star Lamine Yamal.

‘Every match is important’

Although lifting the Champions League remains one of his ambitions, Adeyemi stressed that Barcelona’s objectives extend far beyond European success.

“Winning the Champions League, despite its great importance, is not my only goal with the Catalan team.”

He added:

“The Champions League is a very important tournament, but it is not the only goal. At Barcelona, every match is important, and I will do my best to contribute to winning the Champions League and all possible titles.”

Ready to play anywhere in attack

Adeyemi also made it clear that he is willing to play wherever Flick needs him, whether on the left wing, the right flank or in another attacking role.

“I don’t care which position I play in, I’ve played in all attacking positions. I’m just here to help the team.”

The versatile forward’s flexibility is expected to give Barcelona additional options in attack as the club prepares to challenge for domestic and European honours in the new season.
