Ibrahim Hachoud: Algeria defender leaves MC Oran to become free agent

Algeria centre-back Ibrahim Hachoud has left MC Oran and is now a free agent after reaching the end of his spell with the Ligue 1 side. The 26-year-old, valued at around €300,000 earlier this summer, departs the Algerian club following the close of the 2025-26 campaign.

Hachoud joined MC Oran on a free transfer from Al-Hilal in August 2025 and quickly established himself in the top flight. During his time in Ligue 1, he has made 80 appearances in the competition, as well as featuring in domestic cup ties and continental fixtures.

Before moving to Oran, the defender spent time with Libyan side Al-Hilal and had a stint at Al-Ittihad, gaining experience in the Libyan Premier League and its championship play-off phase. That followed a spell with USM Khenchela, who he joined from Al-Ittihad, also as a free transfer.

Hachoud began his senior professional career with ES Setif in 2018 after progressing from MC Alger’s youth ranks. With ES Setif, he featured in the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup, adding continental competition to a CV that already included regular domestic football.

Across league, cup and African competition, Hachoud has accumulated more than 6,800 minutes of senior football, including nearly 6,000 minutes in Algeria’s Ligue 1 alone. The defender now awaits the next step in his career after officially leaving MC Oran to be registered without a club.
