Abdoul Zoungrana: Burkina Faso striker joins AC Arles after spell without club

Burkina Faso forward Abdoul Zoungrana has joined AC Arles, ending a short spell without a club after leaving Kosovo side Prishtina e Re earlier this year.

The 27-year-old centre-forward, who stands at 1.86m and plays predominantly with his right foot, has been registered by the French club ahead of the new campaign following his move on 22 July. Zoungrana had been unattached since January, when he departed Prishtina e Re midway through the 2025-26 season.

Zoungrana arrives in Arles with experience across Kosovo’s top flight, where he has made 47 league appearances, scoring four goals and providing four assists. He also showed his effectiveness in the domestic cup there, scoring twice in three matches.

Before his brief spell without a club, Zoungrana had joined Prishtina e Re on a free transfer from Feronikeli 74 in August 2024. That move followed another free switch a year earlier from KF Flamurtari, continuing a sequence of transfers that has seen the striker steadily move through clubs in Burkina Faso and Kosovo.

The Ouagadougou-born attacker first left his home country in 2021, swapping US Ouagadougou for Kosovo side KF 2 Korriku, and has since built a career across several teams in the region. His peak listed market value reached €100,000 during his time at Feronikeli 74, reflecting his growing profile in the Superliga e Kosoves.

Zoungrana now begins the next chapter of his career in France, having officially completed his move to AC Arles from free agency.
