Jordan Mintah: Malaysia-Ghana forward returns to Terengganu FC on free transfer
Malaysia-Ghana centre-forward Jordan Mintah has rejoined Terengganu FC on a free transfer from Super League rivals Kuching City. The 30-year-old has signed a deal running until June 2027 as he begins a second spell with the East Coast club.
Mintah, who was born in Kumasi and stands at 1.82m, previously played for Terengganu between 2022 and 2024 before leaving for Kuching City. His latest move keeps him in the Malaysian top flight and strengthens Terengganu’s attacking options with a player comfortable leading the line as a right-footed centre-forward.
The striker has been a consistent scorer in the region, registering 28 goals and four assists in 60 Super League appearances, averaging a goal every 136 minutes. He has also found the net in continental competition, scoring four goals and providing three assists in nine AFC Cup outings, underlining his experience beyond domestic football.
Mintah arrives with a current market value of €250,000 and a track record of individual honours, having finished as top goalscorer twice in the Philippines Football League, including a 31-goal campaign in 2018-19. Before his first stint at Terengganu, he featured for clubs including Kaya FC in the Philippines.
His return to Terengganu comes after an 18-month spell away, during which he first left the club for Kuching City following an earlier loan and permanent move cycle involving Kuala Lumpur and Terengganu’s second team. Mintah is now contracted to Terengganu FC until the end of the 2026-27 season after completing his free transfer from Kuching City.
