Hanover’s Ivorian striker Didier Ya Konan has undergone successful ankle surgery after suffering a knock in the Bundesliga. As a result, he will miss Ivory Coast’s next match in the 2014 World Cup play-offs against Senegal on October 13. Ya Konan is expected to be out of action until the winter break at the end of December due to significant rehabilitation following the operation.
