Tanzanian Premier League side Azam FC have strengthened their attacking options with the signing of Sudan international striker John Mano.

The 24-year-old arrives from Libyan club Al Akhdar, where he impressed during his stint in the North African league.

Although the financial details and length of the contract were not disclosed, the move marks another significant addition to Azam’s squad as the club prepares for the upcoming campaign.

Mano brings valuable experience despite his relatively young age, having featured for some of the biggest clubs in the region.

Before joining Al Akhdar, the Sudanese forward enjoyed spells with Sudanese giants Al Hilal as well as Libyan outfit Al Ahli Benghazi, building a reputation as a hardworking and clinical striker.

His arrival is expected to boost Azam FC’s attacking department as the club looks to challenge for domestic honours and make a strong impression in continental competitions.

Having established himself as a regular member of the Sudan national team, Mano also adds international experience to the Tanzanian side.

His versatility in attack and ability to lead the line will provide Azam with additional firepower heading into the new season.

Azam FC will be hoping the Sudan international can quickly settle into his new surroundings and make an immediate impact as they aim to compete at the highest level in Tanzanian football.
