Coba da Costa: Guinea-Bissau-born winger joins Al-Kholood from Getafe in €2m move

Al-Kholood have signed Guinea-Bissau and Spain-qualified winger Coba da Costa from Getafe in a permanent transfer worth €2m. The 23-year-old left-sided attacker moves from LaLiga to Saudi Arabia with immediate effect.

Da Costa, who is primarily a left winger but plays off his right foot, joins the Saudi Pro League side after breaking into Getafe’s first team last season. He made 33 LaLiga appearances for the Madrid club, scoring once and adding one assist in 1,347 minutes of league action, having been promoted from Getafe’s B team during the 2024-25 campaign.

Born in La Mojonera in southern Spain, the 1.82m wide player progressed through several Spanish lower-league sides before his rise at Getafe. His path included spells with La Mojonera CF, UD Maracena and Berja CF, followed by a move abroad to Tabor Sezana in Slovenia, where he also gained cup experience.

Da Costa returned to Spain with UB Conquense in 2023 before Getafe signed him and initially placed him in their B team. A strong run at reserve level led to his elevation to the senior squad, and he spent part of the 2025-26 season on loan at Belgian club RSC Anderlecht, featuring in the Jupiler Pro League and its championship play-offs.

With a current market valuation of €1.5m, the winger now takes the next step of his career in the Saudi Pro League. Da Costa’s transfer from Getafe to Al-Kholood was completed on 22 July 2026 for a confirmed €2m fee.
