Enzo Molebe: Lyon’s Franco-Congolese forward linked with Ligue 1 move to Troyes

Enzo Molebe, the French-DR Congo centre-forward currently at Lyon, is being linked with a move to Ligue 1 rivals Troyes as the summer window gathers pace. The 18-year-old, who is under contract at Lyon until 30 June 2029, is attracting attention after breaking into senior football over the past two seasons.

Troyes are understood to be monitoring Molebe as they look to add attacking depth, with the forward’s current market valuation standing at around €800,000. Any deal would require Lyon’s agreement, with the long-term contract signed last year putting the club in a strong position in any negotiations.

Molebe spent the second half of the 2025-26 campaign on loan at Montpellier in Ligue 2, where he scored two goals and registered one assist in 12 league appearances, gaining valuable first-team minutes. He returned to Lyon at the end of June following the conclusion of that spell.

Born in Decines-Charpieu and developed in Lyon’s academy system, Molebe has progressed through the club’s youth ranks from under-17 level to the first team. He was promoted from Lyon’s B side to the senior squad in July 2025 and made his Ligue 1 debut last season, while also featuring in the Europa League and Coupe de France.

The right-footed forward, who stands at 1.78m, has also appeared in youth and reserve competitions including the National 2 and National 3, as well as the Coupe Gambardella and the National U19 league, building a significant body of minutes at a young age. For now, he remains a Lyon player with three years left on his deal as Troyes weigh up whether to test the club’s resolve.
