Bless Aniekan: Nigerian midfielder joins Real Avila on free transfer from AD Ceuta
Nigerian midfielder Bless Aniekan has joined Spanish side Real Avila on a free transfer from AD Ceuta, signing a deal until 30 June 2027. The 23-year-old central midfielder makes the move to the Segunda Federacion Group V club with an estimated market value of €50,000.
Aniekan leaves Ceuta after progressing from the club’s B team into the first-team set-up and gaining experience across Spain’s lower divisions. His switch to Real Avila is a permanent move after his contract with the LaLiga2 side came to an end.
Last season, Aniekan split his time between Ceuta and a loan spell at Xerez CD, where he continued his development in competitive senior football. Across recent campaigns he has featured in the Primera Federacion and Segunda Federacion, as well as appearing in the Copa del Rey and Copa Federacion, giving him a broad grounding in Spanish league and cup competition.
Used primarily as a central midfielder, Aniekan has built up more than 1,000 senior minutes in Spanish football, including time in promotion play-offs, where he has also contributed on the scoresheet. His record includes appearances at different levels of the Spanish pyramid, underlining his familiarity with the style and demands of the domestic game.
Real Avila’s move for Aniekan continues his journey through Spanish clubs after earlier spells with sides including Oviedo Vetusta and UD Gran Tarajal. The Nigerian now commits his future to the Castilian club until the summer of 2027 following his free transfer from AD Ceuta.
