Ibrahim Mbaye: Roma eye move for PSG’s Franco-Senegalese winger

Ibrahim Mbaye, the Franco-Senegalese right winger currently at Paris Saint-Germain, is being linked with a move to Serie A side Roma as the Italian club explore attacking reinforcements. The 18-year-old, who has a market valuation of €30 million and is under contract at PSG until June 2028, has emerged as a potential target as Roma look to add pace and creativity in wide areas.

Mbaye has broken into the PSG first team over the past season, making 33 Ligue 1 appearances and contributing four goals and three assists. His growing involvement at club level has been mirrored on the international stage, where he featured at the 2026 World Cup, playing in all four of his country’s matches and scoring once.

Born in Trappes and developed in the Paris Saint-Germain academy after joining from Versailles as a youth player, Mbaye has progressed through every level at the club, moving from the U17s to the senior side in a series of internal promotions before being fully integrated into the first team in July 2025. He has already been part of back-to-back Ligue 1 title-winning squads and was involved as PSG lifted the UEFA Champions League in the 2025-26 season.

With Roma monitoring his situation, any deal would likely require a significant negotiation given Mbaye’s long-term contract and status as a homegrown talent in Paris. For now, he remains part of PSG’s plans, tied to the French champions for a further two seasons beyond the coming campaign.
