Youssef En-Nesyri: Morocco striker linked with shock MAS Fes return from Al-Ittihad

Morocco forward Youssef En-Nesyri, currently with Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad, is being linked with a surprise move to Botola Pro Inwi club MAS Fes in what would be an emotional return to his hometown team.

The 29-year-old centre-forward only joined Al-Ittihad in February 2026 from Fenerbahce for a reported €15m fee and is currently valued at around €17m, underlining the scale of the deal that would be required to prise him away after less than a full season in Saudi Arabia. He has scored six league goals in 13 Saudi Pro League appearances, maintaining a consistent strike rate despite adapting to a new competition.

A move to MAS Fes would take En-Nesyri back to the city of his birth for the first time in his senior career, having left the club’s youth ranks more than a decade ago to begin his professional journey. The Moroccan has since built a substantial reputation in European football, notably at Sevilla, where he twice lifted the Europa League and scored in both title-winning campaigns.

En-Nesyri’s pedigree in continental competition, including a strong scoring record in the UEFA Champions League, would mark a major coup for MAS Fes and the Moroccan top flight if a deal were to be agreed. His status has grown further on the international stage after helping Morocco win the Africa Cup of Nations in 2025.

For now, En-Nesyri remains an Al-Ittihad player, with no public indication that an agreement is close, but the prospect of a marquee homecoming to MAS Fes is expected to keep his future under close scrutiny in the coming weeks.
