Fakhreddine Ben Youssef: Tunisia forward linked with move to Al-Arabi SC in Qatar Stars League switch

Tunisia centre-forward Fakhreddine Ben Youssef, currently a free agent after leaving US Monastir, is being linked with a move to Qatari side Al-Arabi SC in the Stars League. The 35-year-old, whose market value is listed at around €250,000, is without a club following the end of his spell in Tunisia and is understood to be on the radar of the Doha-based team as they look to add experience to their attacking options.

Ben Youssef joined Monastir in September 2025 after a free transfer from Egyptian club El Masry, continuing a sequence of short-term moves in the latter stages of his career. He had previously spent three seasons in Egypt with Pyramids FC and El Masry, having arrived at Pyramids on a free from Ismaily in 2021.

The Tunisian forward brings a substantial body of top-flight experience, with more than 100 appearances each in the Premier League and Ligue 1 and a notable record in continental competition. He made his name earlier in his career with CS Sfaxien, where he was named Footballer of the Year in 2013 and helped the club win the CAF Confederation Cup the same season.

Ben Youssef has also enjoyed domestic success in Tunisia with Esperance Tunis, winning multiple league titles and a national cup before moving to the Saudi Pro League with Al-Ettifaq. For now, he remains unattached after officially becoming a free agent at the start of July 2026, leaving him free to negotiate with Al-Arabi or any other interested club.
