Mame Alassane Niang: Senegal striker joins FC Porto B from HamKam in €1.6m deal

Senegalese forward Mame Alassane Niang has joined FC Porto B from Norwegian side HamKam in a permanent transfer worth €1.6m.

The 20-year-old centre-forward has signed a contract with the Portuguese club until 30 June 2030 after moving from the Eliteserien outfit, where he impressed in Norway’s top flight. Standing at 1.97m and left-footed, Niang adds a different physical profile to Porto’s attacking options in Liga Portugal 2.

Niang arrives in Portugal after a rapid rise in Norway. He initially moved from Diambars FC to Lyn in September 2024, before joining HamKam on loan in March 2026. That deal was later made permanent when HamKam bought him from Lyn in mid-July 2026, shortly before agreeing his switch to Porto B.

Across league and cup competitions in Norway, Niang produced a consistent goal return, scoring in the Eliteserien, the OBOS-ligaen and the NM-Cup. His record included six goals in 11 top-flight appearances and further strikes in the second tier and cup matches, underlining his ability to adapt across different levels.

Rated at €1.8m at the time of the move, Niang now becomes part of FC Porto’s development squad structure, with his new deal tying him to the club for four seasons. The transfer completes his move from HamKam to FC Porto B on a long-term basis.
