Tolu Arokodare: Wolves’ Nigerian striker linked with Genoa move amid Serie A interest

Nigeria forward Tolu Arokodare is being linked with a move from Wolves to Serie A side Genoa, with the Italian club understood to be exploring a deal for the 25-year-old centre-forward.

Arokodare, who joined Wolves from Genk on 1 September 2025 for a fee of €26m, is under contract at Molineux until June 2029, meaning any transfer is likely to require a substantial offer. His current market valuation stands at around €20m, and Wolves’ recent relegation from the top flight in 2025-26 adds another layer of intrigue to the situation, with the striker among the squad’s most saleable assets.

Standing at 1.97m and operating primarily as a central striker, Arokodare has already experienced a range of European leagues, including spells in Belgium, France, Germany and Latvia. His most prolific spell came in Belgium with Genk, where he scored heavily in the Jupiler Pro League and was crowned top scorer in 2024-25 with 21 league goals.

His first season in English football delivered limited returns in front of goal, with three strikes and one assist in 33 Premier League appearances, but he has shown productive spells in cup competitions, including a strong scoring record in the Coupe de France earlier in his career.

Genoa, established in Serie A and looking to add a physical presence up front, are thought to see Arokodare’s combination of height, experience across Europe and previous scoring pedigree in Belgium as a potential fit. For now, the striker remains a Wolves player on a long-term deal, with his future likely to depend on whether the Championship club choose to cash in following their relegation.
