Rivers United sign Nigeria goalkeeper Ifeanyi Emmanuel from Niger Tornadoes
Rivers United have added Nigeria goalkeeper Ifeanyi Emmanuel to their squad after completing his move from Niger Tornadoes. The 24-year-old joins the Port Harcourt club ahead of the new NPFL campaign, further strengthening their options in goal.
Emmanuel, who was born on 8 April 2002, arrives at Rivers United after a season with Niger Tornadoes, having previously played for Akwa United. His switch continues a rapid rise through the Nigerian top flight, with the keeper now linking up with one of the league’s leading clubs.
Primarily a goalkeeper, Emmanuel’s move keeps him in the NPFL and marks his third club in two seasons following his 2025 transfer from Akwa United to Niger Tornadoes. His current market value stands at around €50,000, underlining his growing profile within domestic football.
Rivers United confirmed the signing on 20 July 2026, with Emmanuel now registered as part of the squad at his new club.
