Anderson Goncalves: Franco-Cape Verdean left-back joins FC Chambly Oise on free transfer from Chateauroux
Franco-Cape Verdean defender Anderson Goncalves has joined FC Chambly Oise on a free transfer from LB Chateauroux, strengthening the National 1 Group A side at left-back. The 29-year-old moves within the French third tier, switching from Group C to Group A ahead of the new campaign.
Goncalves, who plays primarily as a left-back and favours his left foot, arrives at Chambly with a current market value of around €100,000. Born in Villepinte and standing at 1.81m, he brings both physical presence and experience of the French league structure to his new club.
The move sees Chambly secure an experienced defender without paying a fee, after the player’s departure from Chateauroux. His ability to operate consistently on the left side of defence adds depth and competition in a key area of the pitch for the Oise-based club.
Goncalves holds both French and Cape Verdean nationality and has spent his senior career in French football, developing his game domestically. His switch to Chambly marks the latest step in a career built across the country’s professional and semi-professional levels.
The defender joins FC Chambly Oise with immediate effect following the completion of his free transfer from LB Chateauroux.
