Egyptian outfit Pyramids FC open up on Ramadan Sobhi’s future

Pyramids FC assistant coach Mohamed Nagy Gedo has provided an update on the future of winger Ramadan Sobhi, insisting that the club has no intention of parting ways with the Egyptian international despite the uncertainty surrounding his situation.

Sobhi’s future has been the subject of speculation in recent weeks, with reports suggesting that Pyramids could consider releasing the former Al Ahly and Stoke City attacker. However, Geddo has strongly rejected those claims, maintaining that the player remains part of the club’s plans.

The former Egyptian international explained that Sobhi’s current situation has not yet been resolved, but once the outstanding issue is settled, the winger will return to training with the team.

“We have not dispensed with Ramadan Sobhi, but his problem has not been solved yet. God willing, if it is solved, he will be present with us in training,” Geddo said.

“There is absolutely no truth to what is being said about Pyramids letting go of Ramadan. We have filed an appeal before the Swiss Federal Court, and we are waiting for it to be accepted. Once that happens, the player will resume training.”

Sobhi has been dealing with a complicated situation that has affected his availability, prompting Pyramids to take legal steps in an effort to resolve the matter and provide clarity over his status.

Despite the uncertainty, the club continues to value the winger’s contribution and believes he remains an important player for their ambitions.

Sobhi, who previously played for Al Ahly before moving to Europe with Stoke City and later returning to Egyptian football, is regarded as one of the most gifted attacking talents in the country when fully fit and available.
