Ramiz Zerrouki: Algeria midfielder returns to FC Twente from Feyenoord in €2.25m deal
Algeria international Ramiz Zerrouki has rejoined FC Twente from Feyenoord in a permanent €2.25m transfer. The 28-year-old defensive midfielder has signed a contract with the Enschede club until 30 June 2030.
Zerrouki heads back to Twente after two years on Feyenoord’s books, during which he won the Dutch Cup and Dutch Super Cup in Rotterdam. He spent last season on loan at Twente, with that temporary spell now converted into a long-term move following the end of his loan on 30 June 2026.
Born in Amsterdam and standing at 1.83m, Zerrouki offers Twente a right-footed holding midfielder with significant Eredivisie know-how. He has made 175 appearances in the Dutch top flight, scoring seven goals and providing 10 assists, and has also featured in both the Champions League and Europa League.
Zerrouki first joined Twente from Ajax’s youth set-up in 2016, progressing through the under-19 and under-21 sides before stepping up to the first team in 2020. His performances in Enschede earned him a move to Feyenoord in 2023 for €5.2m, and he went on to add domestic silverware and European experience to his CV.
On the international stage, Zerrouki represented Algeria at the 2026 World Cup, appearing in three of their four matches. At club level last season, he also contributed three assists in the KNVB Beker as Feyenoord defended their strong cup record.
Zerrouki’s switch, completed on 20 July 2026, secures his long-term future at FC Twente and closes his second spell with Feyenoord.
